Conditions

  • Passport validity

For that visa-free profile, the document is at most ten years old and valid at least three calendar months after Netherlands/Schengen departure.

  • Proof of funds

For that visa-free profile, sufficient means must be demonstrated: EUR 55 per day or a sponsor.

  • Accommodation

For that visa-free profile, the place of stay must be evidenced, for example by a hotel reservation or rental agreement.

  • Short stays use one shared allowance of up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the 29 EES countries, including the Netherlands.

Eligible non-EU short-stay travellers have entries, exits or refusals electronically registered in EES, with qualified exemptions.

Adult nonresident visa-free visitors need a valid travel document; a national ID card is not valid for this non-EU profile.

For that visa-free profile, purpose must be evidenced; return/onward tickets are examples, rather than a universal ticket requirement.

Funds, accommodation and purpose exemptions need eligible EU/EEA/Swiss family membership plus visiting or accompanying that relative.

ETIAS applications are not yet available; the reviewed sources state no current ETIAS application requirement.
