Conditions

  • Passport validity

External-border passport must be valid at least 3 calendar months after planned departure and issued within the last 10 years.

  • Proof of funds

Entry may be refused for insufficient stay/departure funds unless a host covers those costs; no universal amount is supplied here.

  • Health requirement

Entry may be refused for lacking the required health insurance policy; no visa-free coverage amount is stated in this border body.

  • External-border crossing is permitted only at an official point open to international traffic and within its operating hours.

An applicable valid travel document must be carried at internal Schengen borders; authorities may check it.

Personal/travel data are provided at the border; officials may ask purpose/funds questions and request supporting documents.

Entry may be refused for border/customs violations or threats to public order, security, health or international relations.

The standard 90/180 short-stay allowance is a single aggregate period across the 29 EES countries, including Estonia.

Eligible non-EU short-stay travellers have entries, exits or entry refusals electronically registered in EES, subject to qualified exemptions.

For minors, officials may verify parental consent/caregiver status; the Police page says extra entry authorisations are not generally required.

Police exit wording says notarised other-parent consent is required, but its awkward phrase and precise accompanied-minor scope need clarification.
