Valid passport issued within 10 years; the printed 3-calendar-month expiry floor remains anchored to intended Schengen departure.
- Proof of funds
Stay/return funds: about DKK 350/day, hotels about DKK 500/day; less may be accepted if a private host covers all costs.
Basic conditions continue during the stay; necessary stay/return funds must be documentable at all times.
Standard short stays combine Schengen, Greenland and Faroe Islands time: maximum 90 days in any 180 days, including entry and exit days.
Ability to substantiate and, as required, document the purpose of the stay is required.
No SIS undesirable listing, Danish court expulsion/re-entry ban, UN/EU sanctions or national religious-preacher entry ban.
Residence-permit and long-stay-visa periods are excluded; procedural and extended short stays count in the shared allowance.
Residence or employment requires a separate work/residence permit for non-Nordic citizens; these tourist routes do not grant it.
