Conditions

  • Health requirement

Health and character requirements must be met for the ETA to be granted.

  • Fee

The Australian ETA app charges a service fee of AUD 20; there is no other ETA charge.

  • The ETA is applied for through the Australian ETA app, the only channel; the High Commission asks for applications at least 4 weeks ahead.

The applicant must be outside Australia when applying and when the ETA is granted; it is linked to the passport used.

ETA is valid for 12 months or until the passport expires, whichever is shorter, with multiple entry; a new passport needs a new ETA.

Other passports held must be declared in the ETA application.

The ETA covers tourism or business visitor activity only; work is not permitted and the holder must be a genuine visitor.
