About Kazakhstan
There's no Kazakhstan-only eSIM here. Four regional eSIMs cover Kazakhstan, and the right one depends on where else you're going, such as a side trip from Almaty to Bishkek or umrah on the same journey:
- Central Asia 4 eSIM: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan, on Beeline 3G and 4G in Kazakhstan.
- Middle East & Central Asia 18 eSIM: 18 countries including Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Uzbekistan, on Beeline 3G and 4G.
- Asia 28 eSIM: 28 countries across Asia, on Beeline 4G.
- MEA 4 Central Asia eSIM: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The first three come as daily plans of 500 MB to 3 GB a day for 1 to 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 days, or as one data allowance for 7, 15 or 30 days. Their daily plans slow to 128 kbps once the day's data is used and can be topped up, and you have 90 days from purchase to start them. MEA 4 Central Asia daily plans slow to 384 kbps, every plan can be topped up, and you have 60 days to start it. All of them start when they first connect and allow hotspot.
Good to know
Which eSIM should I choose for Kazakhstan?
Choose by the rest of your trip. Central Asia 4 for Kazakhstan with Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan or Pakistan. Middle East & Central Asia 18 if you're also doing umrah or visiting Turkey. Asia 28 if you're also visiting other parts of Asia.
Which network will I use in Kazakhstan?
Beeline, on every plan that names a network: 3G and 4G on Central Asia 4 and Middle East & Central Asia 18, and 4G on Asia 28. In the mountains around Almaty and on long drives between cities, signal can drop, so download offline maps before you set off.
Does it work in Kyrgyzstan too?
Central Asia 4, Middle East & Central Asia 18 and Asia 28 all cover Kyrgyzstan, on Beeline. MEA 4 Central Asia doesn't.
When does my plan start?
When it first connects to a network in a country the plan covers, so you can install it at home before you fly. You have 90 days from purchase to start it, or 60 days for MEA 4 Central Asia. Asia 28 also covers Malaysia, so if you install it at home in Malaysia, keep it turned off until you land, or it may start before you leave.
What happens when I use up my daily data?
Your speed drops until the next day's data arrives, 24 hours after the plan started: to 128 kbps on Central Asia 4, Middle East & Central Asia 18 and Asia 28, and to 384 kbps on MEA 4 Central Asia. That is enough for messages, but too slow for video.
Can I top up?
Every MEA 4 Central Asia plan can be topped up. On the others, daily plans can be topped up and plans with one data allowance can't.
